Janyl Adair Sherman is the founder of SARDA™. Nearly 30 years ago, Janyl made the bold decision to leave her high-end retail job and pursue her dream of starting her own jewelry line in Bali. Despite facing challenges and leaving behind the comforts of home, Janyl was determined to make her vision a reality.
Each piece of SARDA™ jewelry is handcrafted by master silversmiths with over 30 years of experience.
The meticulous six-step polishing and oxidation process ensures that each piece maintains its quality and prevents tarnishing. SARDA™ jewelry stands out in the industry for its superior craftsmanship and the sheer weight of silver used in each piece.
Silver weight:
Because of the nature of SARDA’s™ individually handcrafted sterling silver jewelry, silver weights are approximate and may have slight variances from the listed silver weight description. No two pieces
are identical as our jewelry is handmade and finished.
Stone Color and quality:
Janyl searches all over the world to find top-quality gemstones. From blue topaz to peridot to lab-created, Janyl brings her customers the finest quality she can.
Stone variation:
Due to variations in stones, it is unavoidable that colors may appear differently for everyone. The colors in photos and named descriptors (e.g., “blue topaz”, “neon”, “kunzite” etc.) are subjective,
approximate, and may vary. Colors and clarity may vary among different collections of the same item. Different pieces with the same color name may not match in color or design, as many gemstones are natural.
SARDA’s™ artisans start with pure .925 sterling silver to hand make our chains. As part of that process, the artisans solder together individual pieces of chain link and jump rings to create the overall chain. Soldering is a technique used in making jewelry where pieces of metal are joined by applying molten metal.
Every piece of SARDA™ jewelry is handmade with hand-soldered jump rings. The soldering process is included in the total weight of chain pieces and thus, the total piece weight may vary.
Most gem material currently on the market has been treated in some way before it reaches the customer. In fact, it is estimated that over 90% of gemstones in the market have had some kind of treatment to them.
Why are gems treated?
In a sense, people alter all gem materials after they are found in the earth in order to prepare them for use in jewelry, whether that means cleaning, polishing, or more significant alterations designed to further enhance the material.
There are a number of types of treatments applied to gem material. Below are a few that are used:

CVD chemical Vapor Disposition
Bleached

Filled
SARDA™ does its best to test the gemstones it uses in its jewelry to confirm the authenticity, as well as to disclose any treatment used that significantly alters the nature of the gemstone.
And while SARDA™ tests a significant number of its gem material before setting them in our pieces and selling it, gemstones trade many hands before the material actually gets cut into a gemstone.
Thus it is impossible to guarantee that none of these treatments were used in any the gem material, even after it has been tested, cut and set into our luxury sterling silver or beaded jewelry.
The costs of testing gem material are significant. Indeed, testing each gemstone would increase the cost of our pieces by many multiples.
SARDA’S™ motto is “luxury jewelry at affordable prices.” Keeping our pieces affordable for our customers is at the heart of Janyl’s ethos. We want our gemstones affordable and the jewelry beautiful. The testing it would take to guarantee all of our gemstones had not received some sort of treatment — or confirm the specific types of treatment — would make our jewelry unaffordable.
Our pieces are made with genuine material, but in the making these pieces there is the potential that treatments were used to enhance certain gemstones.

In the upper right of the page, there is a person “icon,” Click on that (or the following link) and you will be taken to our Sign in/Register page.
Note: If you are a NEW customer, or a customer who has previously shopped with SARDA™ but has NOT logged into our new website since our launch on 4/2/24, you will need to create a new account.
To create a new account: Click on the “create account” link, and you will be taken to a page to our “Create Account” page. Enter your information -- including a password -- and “create” your account. You will receive an email prompting you to validate your account by clicking on a link. Once you validate your account, you are ready to go.
If you do not see the email, please check your SPAM folder. If it is in your SPAM folder, please add us to your “Safe Sender” list so you receive our emails.

You will receive updates regarding the status of your order at the email address provided upon your time of purchase. Additionally you can check on the status of your order through your account page.
We recommend creating a registered account to save time at online checkout, track your order status, and save your favorite items to your personal Wishlist.
All online purchases and order history are saved when you create an account on SARDA.COM, and receipts are emailed to the address used at checkout. We encourage all customers to create an account.
To gain access to your wishlist you must first create a SARDA customer account and sign in.
Once signed in you can access your wishlist by clicking the heart on the top right of the menu.
Another option in accessing your wishlist is by accessing your account. Click on the person icon to the left of the shopping cart in the menu. Once in your customer account select "wishlist" in the navigation.
If you are signed in and the heart icon is not visible be sure to clear your cache and cookies. If this still does not resolve the issue please verify that you are not using a cookie blocker. Another quick solution is entering an incognito window which will allow cookies.

Payment methods and questions
SARDA™ accepts all major credit/debit cards. We also accept PayPal, Affirm, Afterpay, ApplePay
and GooglePay. Customers may also shop through the Shop app. For more information on Affirm and Afterpay, see below.
Affirm is a financing method that can be applied to your order as a form of payment. Affirm uses encryption to keep your information safe and your application will not affect your credit score. Approved customers can choose between 3-, 6-, or 12-month payment plans, with APR rates ranging from 0-30%. You will also have the option to sign up for autopay. To see if you qualify for Affirm, please refer to Affirm’s Terms and Conditions.
Afterpay is a financing method that can be applied to your order as a form of payment. Afterpay gives you the ability to make purchases now and pay it off in 4 equal installments, make every 2 weeks with zero interest. They will send your reminders so you will never miss a payment.
Check to ensure the country that issued your credit card matches the region in which you are shopping. If the bank does not provide an authorization, here are a few possible reasons why:
The billing information is inconsistent with what the credit card company has on file.
The expiration date was entered incorrectly at check out.
The card’s CVV code is incorrect.
The balance to authorize is higher than the transaction limit set with your bank. You will need to contact your bank to authorize the charge.
In some cases, an order is cancelled due if the item is no longer in stock.
Occasionally pricing adjustments are made which result in changes to pricing on jewelry. We reserve the right to modify or cancel orders.
Sometimes, an order is cancelled due to incorrect or inconsistent customer information. Please ensure all credit card, billing and shipping information is accurate. You can create a new order on our site or contact Customer Care.
Orders cannot be modified once complete. Customers will need to contact our Customer Care team to address incorrect information such as shipping addresses or sizing issues.
Prior to an order being shipped, customers can reach out to Customer Care to attempt to change the order. However, there is no guarantee that these requests will be able to be processed. After an order is shipped, customers will need to access our return page to exchange sizes. Size exchanges are subject to inventory on hand.
To apply a discount code add desired items to your cart. Once finished click checkout. Once on the checkout page you will be promoted to enter your payment and shipping information.
When on desktop the discount code will be on the right panel.
When on Mobile the discount code will be under the order summary section
RETURNS, REFUNDS & EXCHANGES
Information on returning items
We understand that sometimes, you need to return your pieces. SARDA™ offers a 30-day return policy for your jewelry, subject to terms and conditions. To determine if your purchase is eligible for a return, refund or exchange, please refer to our Returns, Refunds & Exchanges page.
If the item qualifies for a return, and you would like a refund, you will receive shipping instructions once the return is approved. Shipment for a refund is at the customer’s expense* and items must be securely shipped in a box or padded envelope. Items returned in plain envelopes will not be accepted. A Restocking Fee** of $10.95 will apply, which will be deducted from the amount refunded.
*In cases where there is a warranty issue (damage), or the wrong item was received, SARDA™ will cover the cost of shipping and waive the restocking fee.
**In cases where customers want to exchange an item for the same one in a different size, or request a store credit, SARDA™ will waive the restocking fee.
If the item is not eligible for a return, it will display as “non-returnable,” with the reason why.

Some items listed will not be eligible for returns (for example, if the time limit for returns has expired). When returning an item, you will able select the reason for the return, to ensure the item is eligible.

SARDA™ does accept exchanges for jewelry that is in the same style in different sizes. SARDA™ does not accept exchanges for different pieces of jewlery or different gemstones. You can request an exchange by accessing the return portal through your customer account.
SARDA does offer a form of store credit. If you return an item and have requested a credit, once the item has been received, you will receive a credit in the form of a SARDA gift card. Please review our policy on gift cards for more information on how they may be used.
Customers who choose to receive a gift card have the benefit of having their restocking fee waived.
Some items are not eligible for returns, refunds or exchanges. Some items are (but not limited to):

Final Sale: Items discounted 30% or higher. Coupons which take discount above 30%

SARDA™ is pleased to offer free shipping on purchases of $100 or more to customers in the contiguous 48 United States and Puerto Rico. For orders under $100, a $7.50 charge is added. SARDA™ uses standard ground shipping to the contiguous 48 United States and Puerto Rico.
For customers in Canada, SARDA™ offers shipping at a cost of $21.95. SARDA™ offers shipping to Australia at a cost of $37.50. Payment for shipping is due at time of purchase.

Each option is available for an extra fee, which will be added when selected at checkout. Expedited shipping options are subject to the same shipping policies as SARDA’s ground shipping. Orders completed on Saturday or Sunday will not be processed until the next business day.
Orders completed after 10 am PT Monday-Friday will not be processed until the next business day. SARDA observes the following holidays and is not open for business.

**COVID – During these unprecedented times the impact on shipping and delivery times has been extensive. SARDA™ will remain agile to meet our stated shipping times and will continue to work with our carrier partners on the best delivery possible. However, there may be a 1-2 day delay in shipping. Unfortunately, we cannot adjust orders after the customer has submitted it. Additionally, given the number of coupons and promotions we offer, we are not able to adjust pricing for customer orders once they begin processing. SARDA Tiers
SARDA Tiers are an opportunity to earn additional benefits for your birthday, free shipping events, exclusive gifts, and 2x point days. These tiers are broken down in three different options.

The main difference between the SARDA Tiers are the rewards you get by entering the tier. As your status rises rewards become more exclusive.
SARDA™ tiers are unlocked by earning point and each tier has a set point requirement. Once that point requirement is achieved you will be rewarded in your SARDA™ Community account with a new tier. You will also be notified by email.

Rewards
A SARDA™ Point is a virtual currency earned by purchasing at SARDA only. These points can be used to redeem for rewards listed in your profile.
*SARDA™ Points can not be exchanged or cashed out for actual currency nor does it hold any real currency value
You earn points by purchasing qualifying product from SARDA™. There are also multiple no cost to you options to earn points.
These free options consist of:
- sharing our social media content
- following us social media platforms,
- signing up for email and text notifications.
- By entering your birthday and receiving points on the day of. (Birthday must be entered 30 days prior to the date.
*To earn points a SARDA™ account is required and you must also sign up to join the SARDA™ Community to earn points.
You will receive SARDA™ Points in your account once you close your cart and payment is received.
To Redeem SARDA™ Points you will need to navigate to the redeem rewards section in your SARDA™ Community Account or in SARDA™ Customer Account. There you will see the rewards you qualify for. To redeem a reward you need to have enough SARDA™ Points to redeem. Once a reward is redeemed the points spent are non-refundable. You will also need to redeem any rewards prior to checkout if you want the reward to qualify.
Reward redemption are all sales final. Once a reward is redeemed for points, refunds or exchanges for different offers are not available.
Once an rewards is redeem it will be moved to “your rewards”. This is where all rewards will be stored.
Almost all the time, you can redeem as many rewards on your order, but it will not accept a reward to applies a negative total to your cart.

All redeemed rewards will be viewable in your SARDA™ Community Panel under “your rewards” and in your SARDA™ Customer Account.
No, your rewards will be stored in “your rewards” section in your SARDA™ Community account. Rewards will expire 6 months from redeeming them.
Points will expire within 6 months of not completing a qualifying point earning activity. Activities that complete that are:
- Purchasing from SARDA.com
- Following a qualifying SARDA social media account.
- Sharing a qualifying SARDA social media account on you profile.
Rewards will expire 6 months once you redeem your SARDA™ Points.
Yes, we will email twice prior to your points expiring, one letting you know they are half way from expiring. Then a final email letting you know they will expire in the upcoming month.
If you make a return, points received for those qualifying items will be deducted from your points balance at the time of the return. This could put your account balance in the negative if you have recently converted your points to SARDA™ Points.
Points can not be exchanged or cashed out for actual currency.
Referrals
A referral is a way for you to share the SARDA™ brand while still getting rewarded. If you refer a friend and they purchase with us, you will be rewarded!
Once you create your SARDA™ Community account, navigate in the panel and choose the referral section. Here you will be able to see the referrals you have made and you will see your personal referral code. The referred friend will need to enter their email in the referral and copy the discount code that populates once their email is entered. Then your friend will just need to make a purchase!
- Your friend is not required to create an account to participate in the referral. Only if they would like to earn points for their purchase.
- If your friend has already made a referral purchase through a logged-in account or as a guest, it will not count as a referral.
You can refer as many people as you like; each person only gets one referral purchase as a new customer.
Yes, the email used during checkout, whether they are checking out as a guest or with a SARDA™ Customer Account, will have to be your friend's first purchase.
Yes, the minimum purchase requirement for referrals is $50 USD.
Yes, you can combine your referral rewards. These can also combine with other rewards you redeem with points along with SARDA™ Promotions.

Yes, while completing the return process, you will be able to select from several options, one of which is “refund to store credit.” Upon approval of the return and receipt of the item, you will be issued a credit in the form of a gift card for the value of the return. The benefit of a gift card is that the $10.95 restocking fee will be waived!

Select rings are able to be resized, depending on the design. SARDA™ does not offer a resizing service, however. Contact your local jeweler to learn more.
