I received this item as a replacement for my 16 + 4” snake chain which had a faulty clasp. I didn’t realize that a shorter version existed, so I was unprepared for how different this would be on my neck - *super short* compared to the other style of snake chain. Just an FYI for those who might have a fluffier neck, are claustrophobic, or prefer longer/roomier neckpieces vs the more custom/fitted length of this chain.
The quality of Sarda’s chains are beyond compare - silky, smooth, shiny, weighty (in the best way), and just beautiful to look at. This snake has a tight, intricate weave, capped on either end with little hammered hats - one side connected to 6 watermark jump rings, some polished links, and a sweet adair(?) charm, while the other sports a watermark lobster claw & Sarda tag. The craftsmanship is elegant & sleek - once you start noticing all the little details, you can’t help but wonder at the skill & time that would need to be devoted to each piece, and, subsequently, how Sarda is able to present ANY of their chains for the affordable prices that they do.
It kinda blows my mind.
Once on the neck, it gleams prettily & sits comfortably. It doesn’t catch or pull my very long hair. I have enhancers that I’ve tried on it, but I prefer the simplicity of just the chain or the clasp + rings showing instead. I love that it’s both versatile & a statement piece regardless of how you choose to wear it.
Whichever length or style is your preference, you honestly can’t go wrong with investing in Sarda chains - as soon as I got this one, I ordered my third & can’t wait to order more!
This is now my favorite chain now! Of course all I wear is Janyls' designs for many years now and occasionally my other mixed in . This snake chain is so soft but a really fun length different from all my other chains and necklaces. Love it!! Thank again Janyl!! 💜
